Kerri Flannigan

storytelling, choreography, projection

Unlikely Armour is a queer exploration of embodiment and the conscious and unconscious histories we carry in our bodies. It touches on the hanky code, the history of the bikini, hydrotherapy, mythology and the first lesbian kiss on Star Trek.

Kerri Flannigan is an interdisciplinary artist and educator currently based in Lekwungen and WSANEC Territories (Victoria, BC).

"This performance draws on my history in the zine community, my practice as a visual artist working with stop-motion animation and projection, a non-dancer who works with choreographers, my interests in researching cultural and political histories, and shadow puppets."
