Eric Cheung / Stories and experiences from my young adult life, from just graduating from high school to me dropping out of university to pursue my dance career. I want to let go of my ego, open up to others and show a side of myself that many people around me don’t know about. Most importantly, I want to create safe places and judgement-free zones where people are comfortable to share and express what might make them feel vulnerable.
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Eric Cheung has been specializing in the style of popping for 5 years. Has learned from the Electric Boogaloos and many of the current innovators of the dance. Eric has also travelled and competed all over Canada and overseas in the Japan for Old School Night Vol.19 and Amsterdam for Summer Dance Forever 2016. Recently, Eric was able to win at the Vancouver Street Dance Festival 2017 in the popping category. In 2015, he co-founded Unknown Elements, the only popping crew in Calgary, with the mission to promote individuality and to grow the local popping scene.
