An autobiographical solo by Mélanie Demers, with Angélique Willkie as its muse, Confession Publique takes on themes of privacy and secrecy, delving into the marshy depths of the psyche in a revolt against the vulgar self-exposure that bombards us every day. Seeking confession as a poetic gesture, necessity, and small concession to our vanity, the work is an intimate dive into self-interrogation. Introspection has no choice but to come face-to-face with its inevitable opponent—confession.
