biographies

Anya Allegra Saugstad (she/her) is a dancer and choreographer based in Vancouver BC, on the unceeded territory of the Sḵwx̱ wú7mesh', Stó:lō and Səlílwətaʔ/ Selilwitulh, and xwməθkwəyə̓ m First Nations. Anya and her collaborators create live, digital, and site adaptive performance works that foster space for emerging femme artists to tell their stories through movement. Anya is interested in creating vigorous and physically exhausting choreographic stories that express rage, strength, and urgency. Anya has created work for ArtsUmbrella, LamonDance, and Simon Fraser University. She has presented her work through The Scotiabank Dance Center, The Rotary Center for the Arts, and Vines Art Festival, among others. Anya received the Iris Garland Emerging Choreographer Award in 2023/24 for her work Paper Mountains.

Nasiv Kaur Sall (she/her) is a Canadian–Punjabi dance artist and actor whose artistic journey is deeply rooted in her cultural heritage and diverse upbringing. Originating from a blueberry farm in Pitt Meadows, BC, Nasiv's work emanates a profound connection to her rich cultural heritage and a tapestry of diverse experiences. After completing her contemporary dance education with the Arts Umbrella Dance Graduate Program in Vancouver, Nasiv has worked as a collaborator with companies Kidd Pivot, Out Innerspace Dance Theatre, Mascall Dance and Dance//Novella in Vancouver, BC and with Anne Plamondon Productions and Collectif La Tresse in Montreal, QC. Nasiv has also been involved in ongoing independent works under the direction of various street dance and contemporary dance artists, such as Anya Saugstad, Isak Enquist and Karina Bromberg. A versatile artist, Nasiv has also worked as an actor and dancer on various feature films with networks such as Nickelodeon, Disney and Paramount Plus.

Shana 愛 Wolfe (she/her) is a dance artist currently based in so-called Vancouver on the unceded territories of the Sḵwx̱ wú7mesh', Stó:lō and Səlílwətaʔ/ Selilwitulh, and xwməθkwəyə̓ m Nations. She completed the Arts Umbrella Graduate Program in 2017 then joined Ballet BC as an apprentice for their 2017/2018 season performing BILL by Sharon Eyal throughout England and in Germany. In 2018, she attended Springboard Danse Montreal and since then has been freelancing with OURO Collective, The Falling Company, Dumb Instrument Dance, Company 605, The Edmonton Opera and with artists such as Cindy Mochizuki and Justin Calvadores among others. Her own work has been shown through Vines Art Festival, the.response’s Dance Cafe, Co.ERASGA’s Winter Salon and The Dance Centre’s Reboot Program.
